Strategic Planner — Coalition Services (ITSP Level 6)
The Directorate of Multinational Relations and Interoperability (DMRI), within Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), requires a Strategic Planner to provide high-level strategic planning and future planning across Coalition Services Integration (CSI) initiatives, including the Pegasus Program, Defence Gateway Environment and emerging national and multinational developments.
Overview
This senior role provides strategic direction and SME advice supporting the National Defence Strategy (NDS) and CSI Strategy. It requires strong understanding of Data Centric Security and Zero Trust frameworks, with demonstrated ability to engage directly with national and international stakeholders and contribute to artefacts such as ACP240.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and future planning for upcoming projects and requirements across CSI
- Facilitate the JCG Coalition Service Integration Strategy through the CSI Strategy Implementation Plan and Working Groups
- Lead and contribute to Data Centric Security / Zero Trust framework development and standards
- Cohere inputs and outputs across forums including the CCEB, Federated Mission Networking and the NATO Digital Policy Committee
- Support ASIMOV and future project deliverables aligned with JCG requirements
- Engage national and international stakeholders, providing JCG leadership with progress updates
Essential Criteria
- Certification, qualifications and experience in ICT strategic planning and future planning of projects and requirements
- Strong understanding of Data Centric Security and Zero Trust frameworks and architectures
- Understanding of operational systems (Wintel), networking, cyber security/accreditation and systems architectures
- Current NV1 security clearance (or above)
Work Arrangements
On-site at Anzac Park West, 51 Constitution Ave, Parkes ACT 2600 (and Deakin ACT for ASIMOV). Government furnished facilities including a Defence PC on the DPN/DSN provided. Remote work subject to Commonwealth prior written approval.
