We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract in Canberra. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud engineering, primarily with AWS, and a strong desire to mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support and maintenance for AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and non-cloud engineers, fostering their development into cloud engineering roles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Azure and Google Cloud technologies.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with additional cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
